Lage

ELOUNDA
Elounda was a small Wshing town on the Mirabello Bay, on the island of Crete.
Although Wshing is still a large part of life in this very picturesque area, tourism has taken over as the main industry of Elounda.
It is part of the municipality Agios Nikolaos. It is popular with European tourists and has many hotels including several 5*hotels.
Elounda is also the closest major town to the former leper colony of Spinalonga. The town is a 10 minute drive to Agios Nikolaos and the village of Plaka (Lasithi).
Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the county Lasithi and is located at the Mirabello Bay, north-east Crete, only 45 mins away from the international airport of Heraklion.
Geographically the town is well protected from strong winds allowing sea sports and swimming nearly all year round.
Although Agios Nikolaos has a population of less than 20,000 it has a several banks, supermarkets, shops of every kind, doctors, a modern hospital of high standard, public swimming pool and tennis courts, yacht marina, harbour, cinema, theatre, gyms, a 9-hole golf course, schools ranging from nurseries to 6-level high school and generally all the amenities you would expect to Wnd in a modern European town.

The extensive grounds include an olive grove, a Roman tank, which is protected by Greek laws on antiquities, and several large outdoor sculptures.
Outside the house, an inWnity swimming pool (12 x 6m) faces the sea, and has a large terrace on three sides, with a dining area seating 12 and barbecue under pergola. There is also a bathroom with changing area and shower.
A large terrace off the living room and dining room, also sea facing, has an additional outdoor dining area.
Away from the house, on a hillside, is a Davis Cup size tennis court, with an adjacent boules court.
Below the far end of the tennis court is a charming cottage with excellent views and an additional two bedrooms.
The property has spectacular sea and mountain views. Guests can use watersports facilities, golf course, spas and restaurants at the nearby 5 & 6-star hotel resorts at additional cost.
The villa can be rented out with a possible weekly income of 20,000+ Euros (around 3000 Euros per day).
The property is only 800 m² away from the golf course of Elounda. A 5-minute drive to the center of Elounda.
About a 10-minute drive to Agios Nikolaos, the province capital.
